2003 Season Underage Presentation - DJ Carey's visit!

Saturday 17th January 2004, Quez Road

Following our most successful season which saw our underage teams take nine out of ten possible titles as well as the Collins Cup at Senior level, we had the honour of having DJ Carey at our presentation.

DJ joined the Kilburn Gaels in Gladstone Park as players and supporters braved the sub-zero temperatures for the coldest ever training session. Valuable tips were passed on along with answers to questions and the odd demonstration, before everyone posed for a picture with the hurling maestro.

In the evening, in the somewhat warmer Mazenod Centre in Quex Road, players, supporters and guests from all over North West London, gathered to celebrate the achievements of the Kilburn Gaels in 2003. Medals were presented to the U12 team for their victory in the league and to the U14 team for their league and championship double. Both the U16 and U18 teams received three medals for their respective league, championship and provincial championship trebles. A special presentation was made to DJ Carey who thanked the Kilburn Gaels for the invitation and congratulated the club on their success in 2003. DJ was called on to present the 'player of the year' and 'club person of the year' trophies to the following:

U12 Player of the Year - Sean O'Toole

U14 Player of the Year - Sean Howlin

U16 Player of the Year - Kevin Grace

U18 Player of the Year - Francis O'Dwyer

Club Person of the Year - John O'Neill
