Dinner Dance date changed to Saturday 4th March 2006 at 8:30pm in The Corrib Rest, Queens Park

6th December 2005

  • Senior convention set for Sunday 11th December - Eugene Hickey, Sean Riordan, Mick Burke and Paul Doyle are avilable to attend as delegates
  • Christmas night out set for Saturday 10th December at 8pm in The Claddagh Ring. All senior and minor players along with the parents of the underage teams are invited to join us.
  • The annual Dinner Dance will take place on Saturday 25th February at 8:30pm in The Corrib Rest, Queen's Park. This will coincide with the visit of Killavullen from Co.Cork
  • Our AGM will take place on Sunday 5th March
  • St Mary's College, Twickenham have approached us requesting a challenge match in the new year. A date for this will be arranged early next season.
  • The support of our underage teams came up for discussion - it was decided that this will be one of our main talking points at the AGM
  • The Minor convention will take place on Sunday 15th January. Delegates for the convention will be Phil Kerrigan, Frances O'Neill and Andy Stephenson
  • Next meeting: Wednesday 11th January 2006 in The Corrib Rest

11th October 2005

  • Very successful golf day - over £8000 profits made from the day. Many thanks to all our sponsors and to Generay in particular for sponsoring the prizes
  • Ryan Cup and League to finish off for Seniors - fixture dates still to come
  • Underage news: U12 final on Sunday 16th October against Sean Treacys in Greenford (3:30pm); U14s went out of championship last week at the semi-final stage; U16s won their championship by virtue of w alkover from the Treacys - Club Championship final on Sunday in Greenford at 2pm; Minor final on Saturday 15th at Ruislip at 4:30pm
  • U18 club championship (if we get there) on Sunday 23rd October in Birmingham - looking for lots of support to fill the coach if we go
  • Next meeting: To be arranged for December

2nd August 2005

  • Sponsors for the golf day were confirmed
  • Those wishing to attend the meal in the evening only will be charged £15
  • Next meeting: To be arranged for October

5th July 2005

  • As a result of our good performances in the closing stages of the league we are now in a three way play off for a place in the final
  • Last Sunday against the Gabriel's was the first time we have had the majority of our Senior players available, and it showed as we secured a comfortable victory
  • Reviewed the underage presentation - the evening was a great success and everyone enjoyed themselves. We raised around £250 from the raffle and the event was very well organised by the staff at Quex Road
  • Plans for the annual golf day were well under way and letters were distributed to local businesses to gain sponsorship. For those not wishing to play golf, the dinner dance in the evening was open to all at a price of £15.
  • John O'Neill reported on how the underage season had progressed thus far - the minors and U16s had enjoyed a series of comfortable victories in the league and are currently at the top of their respective league tables. The U14s are through to the league final against Sean Treacys on Sunday 17th July and the U12 team are preparing for their championship semi-final against Thomas McCurtains in September.

7th June 2005

  • Golf day posters ready for distribution - taking place on Friday 12th August at West Middlesex Golf Club
  • Underage presentation confirmed for Friday 24th June at Quex Road - 8:30pm. All medals have now arrived
  • An order has been placed at the county board for 10 dozen hurleys and 8 dozen balls for the underage players
  • Next meeting: Tuesday 5th July after training at Highgate

10th May 2005

  • Application to enter Intermediate team was approved by county board
  • Hurleys on order for the underage teams along with an additional order of kit bags for the senior team
  • Underage presentation to be held in Quex Road
  • Next meeting: Tuesday 7th June after training at Highgate
